MORE THAN A FIRM
Evo's Connecticut headquarters was built in 1972 as a water treatment plant. In 2004, three years after the building was abandoned for more modern facilities, we converted the orphaned plant into our design studio. In the unique old building, we saw a space that could express Evo's special character. We created an atmosphere that provides inspiration and energy, as well as an interactive space where designers and clients collaborate.
BACKGROUND
Aaron Szymanski and Tom Mclinden started Evo Design in 1997. They chose the name Evo as a reminder to continually evolve their design process and how the studio is run. Today, Evo maintains its Watertown, CT location and, as of 2013, has expanded to two more offices in Newark, Ohio, and Ningbo, China. After Tom's retirement in 2007, Aaron continues to lead the team to build upon the partnerships that have made Evo as successful as it is today. Evo’s focus is not just on the end product's success but also on collaborating with our clients to achieve said success.
